Beth Knudsen - GIS Research Analyst

Beth Knutsen of the Winona MSGIS program was hired less than two weeks ago as a GIS Research Analyst with the Department of Natural Resources Ecological Services. Beth will be working out of the Lake City, MN office where she will be responsible for developing watershed analysis tools. The tools she will be creating will be used by department managers for analyzing watershed conditions.

Beth is very excited about her new position and also coMMents that her colleagues have been interacting with many SMU-RA graduates at GIS conferences and have been “impressed” with their knowledge and skills. She hopes to maintain that connectivity and network as well once she leaves program. She states, “I'm thrilled and hope that I will continue to run into SMU grads.”
