Brayton Grinnell –Crime Analyst
April 29 , 2009
Brayton Grinnell works as a Crime Analyst for the Madison City Police Department (Madison, WI). "In today’s crime analysis field, GIS is considered to be a highly sought after skill, which allows for a greater understanding of the world around us. My GIS experience and knowledge obtained through the Department of Resource Analysis at SMU continues to play a pivotal role in my day-to-day operations as an analyst. In addition, it has opened the doors to a variety of new analytical learning opportunities in the crime analysis arena. Most recently, I have had the opportunity to attend geographic profiling training, in which I have just become a certified geographic profiling analyst. The Saint Mary’s University RA community has played an integral part in my success and continues to do so today."
