Brian Boulmay – Business Partner Manager

Brian Boulmay graduated from SMUMN's Winona campus in Dec 1998.  Following graduate school he joined Shell where he spent a few years performing environmental GIS analysis and mapping before promoting into the E&P business overseeing a team of Geo-Information professionals.  After Shell, Brian worked with ESRI as their Petroleum Industry Manager for a short stint before his current assignment as the Business Partner Manager at OpenSpirit.  At OpenSpirit, Brian manages strategic business partners who work with OpenSpirit providing application and data integration to the global energy industry. GIS integration is a key focus for many of these relationships.  Building on the core skills he learned at SMUMN, Brian went on to complete an MBA to round out his education. "The skills and experience I obtained during the SMUMN program were invaluable in preparing me for a professional career in the GeoSpatial industry - I would recommend the program to anyone interested in this exciting and interesting field."  Brian has also recently received his GISP certification (Certified GIS Professional) as well as his CMS certification (Certified Mapping Scientist) from the ASPRS. - Brian Boulmay GISP, CMS
