Ryan Bormann - GIS Survey Analyst

Ryan Bormann of the Winona MSGIS program was recently hired as a GIS Survey Analyst with Sunde Land Surveying, LLC. in Bloomington, MN. Ryan will be working with designing a GIS system that will integrate GIS survey system databases with a GIS. His responsibilities also include surveying that make use of technologies such as GPS and total station among others.

Ryan coMMents, “The manager of the company has big visions for what GIS can do for them. The reason he was interested in me is because of my degree and experience from my education at SMU.” Ryan is working on wrapping up the last pieces of his degree with us and has also had the opportunity to recently intern with the American Transmission Company.

Ryan also expresses his satisfaction, energy, and excitement towards his new career as he states, “The job is great, the people are great!" Ryan, congratulations! We all wish you the best with your new career!
